Reference: National Regatta Rules NSR April 2009 (Second Edition)
1. The Northern Area Dinghy Sailing Championships will be held at Port Edgar, South Queensferry on Saturday 20 Jun 09. Teams are to be in position no later than 0945; late entries will not be accepted. The competition will start at 1000 and complete the same day.
2. Boats
Bosuns, Toppers and Picos will be available at Port Edgar. PY Class entrants must arrange their own boats.
3. Qualifications
The minimum qualification for a helmsman at the Area Championships is RYA Level 2. (Note: For the National Sailing Regatta, the helmsman of a Bosun must hold a minimum of RYA Level 3 certificate or RYA Young Sailors Red Badge.)
The helmsman of a Topper must be RYA Level 2 or Start Sailing Red Badge.
Cadets who qualify to represent Northern Area at the National Regatta must be available to qualify for the requisite sailing qualification, if not already held, prior to the National Sailing Regatta. Valid certificates must be produced to the ARO or Lt (SCC) J Fletcher RNR at the Regatta.
